Here's what we have: 5user SBS2003 domain running sqlsvr with 5 attached PCs
We would like to add 5 external users via TS. We have licenses for the
additional 3rd party software that we want to run. Here are the questions:
Can I have 5 internal users and 5 external (TS) users ...

I have 2003 TS.
I have configured idle & disconnect time to 30 minutes using GPO.
For laptop power consumption I set the laptops to go to sleep after 10
minutes.

    I´m looking for a way, of my users logon in three different locations
(each one with it´s own DC), getting the home folder setting, from the
logonserver of that DC. For example:

All those users use the same application (a single exe from a network

bought 10 TS User CALS.  I have 7 workstations.  I have 5 Users but
this will grow to 7.  Only 4 are in the Remote Desktop Users Group.  I
need to get Office 2007 Pro installed on those 7 workstations and on

Is it right that the TS should be rebooted regularly? If this is correct how
can I get it to do this automatically, say at 4am once a week?

I have some HP COMPAQ THIN CLIENTS T5700 that use an older version of RDP, I
am assuming verison 5.  Will it have any problems connecting to a Windows
2003 terminal server?

I have 5 terminal servers in "workgroup" mode (not joined in a
domain), two was upgraded from win2000srv to win2003std.
The servers work correctly, but running tsadmin.exe on 4 of them while
trying to connect to the last one (it's one of the two upgraded) it

Right, I have installed TS Server (+ licencing) on a Windows Server 2003 SE
box.  It all works brilliantly apart from the fact that it always has to do
a mini install when you open up the first Office 2003 application of the

Can you do it? My experience is that 2008 retail CALs won't work on a 2003
terminal server, despite several people stating that it will.
Can anyone shed some light on this  (I get "license code not recognized" trying
to enter a valid CAL)

Can we run a windows 2008 TS in a windows 2003 domain. We have Terminal
Server Licensing on a windows 2003 dc. Will 2008 TS work with a windows 2003
terminal server licensing server? or do we need to run Terminal Server
licensign on windows 2008 server?
