I'm getting the following error on my 2008 SBS when doing backups.
"A Volume Shadow Copy Service operation failed. Unknown error
(0x800423f4)"
I have disabled the Shadow copy service and stopped SQL but am still

domain.local, and domain.dev
domain.local has its own primary and secondary AD-enabled DNS servers
domain.dev has its own primary AD-enabled DNS server

In our Windows 2003 File Server, one of our user's folder (30 MB)  
disappeared yesterday. Its not deleted or hide at all. I restored data from
backup but this is unusual when data is gone without any trace. I run some
undelete utilities  but no trace of files/folders.

First the setup of the system. We had one server which acted as a DC and also

We recently demoted our old DC (Windows 2K server) to act as a standard
file server and switched to a 2003 server to be our active DC and all
was well.  Now, the 2K machine is dead and a few of our machines are
running extremely slow.  All shortcuts, printers, and network drives

How can  I duplicate existing DC, dns AD on w2k3 servers of one domain to a
new w2k8 server?
In this particular place, there were in existing two w2k3 based servers:: s1
with file server, DNS and AD roles, s2 with exchange and DNS and AD roles.
