A windows SBS 2003 is attached with External USB Harddisk. I've scheduled NTBackup task to backup local HD data to this USB HDD daily. But the operation is usually failed with below error message and find that computer lose connection with Ext. HDD.

In AD Sites and Services I would like to rename one of our sites. We have one server there, which is a Windows 2003 R2 DC, GC, and also runs Exchange 2003 SP2. Is there any more to it than an "F2" rename through the MMC?

This is all in a testing environment. Running a single Win Server 2003 standard as DC, DNS and DHCP server. I was trying to change the DC, so I got the OS put on another hardware and printed that article on changing the DC in a single DC environment.

Hi guys, I have a different problem (at least for me). A few months back I had setup a test domain with two 2003 servers (SP2) set as DCs. Did our tests and stuff, then the two servers were turned off and almost forgotten.

We have a couple of users that will remote desktop into the DC to do a few things, but right now they cannot seem to create an icon on the desktop and have it saved there for the next time they log in. They are not members of an admin group nor should they be.

We noticed that the ACL on some share folders has SID entries instead of object names and it looks like those SID belongs to the domain. Can someone advice how I can find out the actual object name based on those SID no.?

Question about authentication. Does that mean WORKGROUP computer will no longer be able to authenticate to the server if NTLM authentication is disabled on the server?

Hi, when I try to connect to the internet it half loads my homepage then says it's encounted an error and closes, you can do this maybe 4 or 5 times then all of a sudden it will connect fully. I'm on a desktop pc on XP Home edition, can anyone help

We have five different subnets. In Active Directory only one subnet machines showing. How can I have all the machines showing in AD. Mostly we have is Windows 2003 servers except 3 Windows 2000 server.
