Iheve a 2k3 cluster and when i start tot defrag C:\ on the main computer, the server freezes for 2 minuts, long enough to make some services and the website (becouse of sql) crach.

I'm currently investigating a processor hug problem on one of our servers. The machine is a Windows Server 2003 R2 box with Service Pack 1. I found out, that the wmiprvse.exe process consumes constantly 50% CPU time (the machine has two processors).

This is shiv i have got five clients and a switch and a modem and an internet connection from the local ISp, and a DC. I have one of the clients connected to the internet directly through the modem.

Just wondering if a formal timeframe has been announced for Windows Server 2008. I know a February 2008 timeframe has been announced for other major products, like Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. Is that the same time frame for Windows Server as well?

I have a SBS 2003 file server with a 3 disk Raid 5 setup for files. I'm starting to run fairly low on disk space and wanted to look into replacing the drives with bigger capacity ones. Currently they are 3 36GB 10,000 RPM Drives.
