I am deploying an HP Proliant ML350 G4 at the moment.  OS install w/
StartSmart went fine.  The boot-up sequence is showing a message to
update the Array Controller firmware to at least version B009.  The box
has a Smart Array 641 controller.  I have searched under ML350 G4 and

After the text mode portion of Windows 2000 setup, on the reboot it hangs at

I have just been reading in the Microsoft TechCenter about the load the
DHCP role adds to a server.  I currently admin a 10 user, single server
LAN.  The server runs Server 2003 Standard with roles as AD, DC, File

I have a Win 2K3 server Std Ed with a Boot/System partition and a Data
partition. There is no unallocated space on the HD. Both are NTFS and the
server the only DC. The Boot/System partion has reached a low level of

Our server restarts on weekends sometimes ...when that happens our host web
application does not restart because the server is waiting for the login id
and password.
Is there an option that will tell the server to not wait for an admin login?

When running the install I am getting a file missing error "AcLayers.dll" Is
this file mandatory for the initial install? Can I just skip it? When I
search the web for this file I get allot of responses for XP, but not Win2K3
Server. Stuck....

I am trying to upgrade from Windows Server 2003 Standard edition with SP1 to
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition.  I keep getting the following
message:
Setup cannot continue because the operating system edition is different from

I have enabled VSS but I cant direct the copies to be stored on another disk.
I cant manually change it...
Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok...we have a server 2003 DC which has all our network printers
installed and contains all our network files (stored on a SAN, but
mapped through the DC). The login script references the existing DC
(maps drives and installs printers) I would like to install a second

I'm about to install a RIS server on windows 2003.  I was reading a
Microsoft document which says, should dedicate a whole disk or partition
for my RIS images.
I was looking to share the partition with other data, is this a bad idea
