Windows 2003 server - How to protect my activity?26 Jul 2008 00:24 GMT1
I have a remote desktop access from my home computer (running Vista Ultimate) to a private Windows 2003 dedicated server located in
a company datacenter. This Windows 2003 standard server was installed by the administrator of the company, not by me.
I have an Administrator account ...
CDP in root certificate when renewed25 Jul 2008 14:31 GMT4
I've allways thought that it is good practise not to include any CDP and AIA
in the root certificate. Therefore you leave them empty in the capolicy.inf.
Today I've renewed the root CA certificate with a new key pair. When I
looked at the new certificate I saw that my CDP is ...

When the root certificate has been renewed with a new key pair do I publish
the cross-certificates (web based AIA)? How will clients know where to look
for them?

Certificate autoenrollment and AD publishing25 Jul 2008 12:16 GMT2
I configured a GPO linked to a special OU for certificate autoenrollment.
The certificate template is configured for autoenrollment too.
My problem is, that some of my users enroll certificates but do not publish
them to Active Directory.

Windows Server 2003:
I need something like a guide where I can learn to work as a limited user,
performing administration tasks. I think, that the runas command doesn't work
everywhere.

Is it possible to remove an Enterprise CA from a Windows 2003 R2 domain?20 Jul 2008 23:18 GMT2
Once a server has been designated as an Enterprise CA within a Windows
2003 R2 domain, is there any way to back it out?  I am trying to clean
up some domain issues with a client's network, and it appears that
someone attempted to implement a PKI infrastructure, but they didn't do ...

127.0.0.1 and XP Firewall does not block the software. UltraSurf starts a
"proxy" and bypass proxies opening TCP/443 conenctions with proxies arround
the world (mid-east and Asia)
Enabling EFS to a specific group of pc's20 Jul 2008 10:16 GMT1

Then I built a new policy in wich I enabled EFS again. This policy doesn't override the settings done in default domain policy - neither I link it to a organisational ...
Use of Kerberos unreliable, can I force it?17 Jul 2008 16:01 GMT2
I had to learn that it is easily possible for clients in our network
to work without Kerberos (tickets). Mostly because they boot their
computer without a network connection. Those users have no Kerberos
tickets (of course) but they don’t get Kerberos tickets even after
added four server names to the administrator group of a file serve16 Jul 2008 23:19 GMT2
I need to know if my solution is a security concern.  I added four server
names to the administrator group of a file server.  The 4 servers have map
drives to the file server.  I believe that it is an issue because the 4
servers have administrator rights on my file server.

Logging Access11 Jul 2008 20:09 GMT5
We are looking to setup a new Windows 2003 server.  We would like to get
some third party software that will track file and folder: creation,
deletion, access, and modification only on this server.  (This server will
sit on the network with all users being able to access it).  ...
