We've got a DC at a remote site that doubles as the office's file/print server. The problem is that we need to allow our local IT contact to manage user shares, setup printers, etc, but we're not sure how to give him logon rights without making him a domain admin.

Ok, so I am reading up on buffer overflows... er, overruns.... and see that VML has one this month. I also read an article on msdn that says Vista does not get effected because the code was recompiled with Visual Studio (yay!).

I regularly apply the MSyy-xxx patches to about 50 servers. 2 of them (a w2k sp4 and a w2003 sp1) don't apply the patches. Weird thing is that there is no message at all, nothing in logs neither. It behaves exactly as if the patches were applied.

Thanks in advance for any help you may give. We just purchased a Optiplex server from Dell a couple of days ago with SBS 2003, R2 preinstalled. We completed the initial setup with computer name, password, etc.
