I have a 2003 dc and have just setup a 2008R2 dc virtual server and a 2008R2 file virtual server on the same domain. I need to copy the users folders to the 2008R2 file server. 2003dc to 2008R2 file server (the users folders setup from AD).

We have a Web Server 2008 x64 for our SQL server 2008. There are many local users created so that the web application sitting on top could access the DBMS via the local web server 2008 credentials. We opted for this because there is unlimited CAL for Web Server 2008.

I am performing an upgrade from NT4 to 2003 and have done a bit of testing but I am still unsure of the behavior of workstations and servers when they suddenly find themselves on an upgraded domain. Currently, the plan is this:

I'm trying to backup printers using "Print Management" from the original Windows 2003 Print Server, so that I can restore into the new Print Server, which will be Windows 2008 Server x32. When I attempt the backup, I receive the following message:

I am trying to copy the users files from 2003dc to 2008dc (virtual server). I tried robocopy but when it copies the folders it does not do the permissions correctly. It puts the sid number instead of the username in the permissions.
