I've two local DNS servers. I've noticed though that DNS lookups are taking quite a long time (800ms +). The server isn't a particularly busy server. Both are DCs. Both are configured to forward to our ISPs DNS servers. Both are Server 2003 Standard.

I have a domain with 2 windows 2000 DC, running in Windows 2000 native mode. I recently ran forest prep and domain prep from CD2 of Windows 2k3 R2 I then created a new w2k3 server, installed all updates and DNS. I ran dcpromo on it without error

In a 2003 AD integration zone that contains a corrupted record, will this corruption shutdown the zone or somehow delete the zone? is this a built in security feature of AD integrated zones?

We have windows 2003 R2 DNS server with active directory integrated zone. If I check the forward lookup zone and any A record, each A record has TTL which is 15 minutes. What is TTL 15 minutes? Should we change it? Thank you.
