Caching question31 Jan 2010 17:56 GMT4
I've two local DNS servers. I've noticed though that DNS lookups are
taking quite a long time (800ms +).  The server isn't a particularly
busy server. Both are DCs. Both are configured to forward to our ISPs
DNS servers. Both are Server 2003 Standard.

awhile, but then they go away (less than a day, usually shorter).  I
have no errors in any eventviewers.  I find the error on a DCDIAG /

What could go wrong when we use it? Does the same apply to small
networks with one server only assuming that in both cases the DNS
server has two NICs?

convert primary zone to AD integrated23 Jan 2010 00:23 GMT4
I have a standard primary zone that's running on a 2003 DC, currently we are
using DNS replication to copy this zone to other DC\DNS servers. We
basically create a secondary zone on the other DC's and then setup zone
replication from the primary to the secondary DC\DNS servers. I ...

Those DNS servers are virtual (under hyper-v in FO HA cluster) and ...
