Have a strange problem for a few days now. DNS all looks OK but can not
longer OWA via IE in the office but can when using the server name or
IP/owa. Also cannot RDP the TS Server except by IP. And also file transfers

I am a bit confused about DNS devolution, when it is needed and when it is
not. Do you want to have devolution turned on for servers that are not in an
AD domain (i.e. DMZ servers)?

We are trying to understand why our ntds.dit is growing compare to last year.
When we ran ADRAP tool it shows the DNS nodes (30010)
Tombstoned DNS nodes (200001) toal (230011)
this might be because of low scavening / aging value set

I have a situation where I have a Linux box which is not part of AD.  It
hosts a web-site and has a FQDN.  I do 1 to 1 NAT through my firewall, so
this machine has a private IP address internally, but all web requests from
the public network are forwarded to it just fine.

I see this error in the logs of some of my XP systems on a 2003 domain
and sometimes they are disconnected from the network when it appears.
The name "LCS072225223004:35" could not be registered on the Interface
with IP address 192.168.n.a
