I am running windows 2003 AD and now have introduecd windows 2008 sp 1 as additional domain controller. There after I transferred all FSMO roles to windows 2008. But my windows 2008 dns unable to resovle partucular one domain (xxx.xx.xx)

how do I configure a Win 2008 machine to be a DNS server? Cant go into the web unless I put in a DNS IP address of a previous server BUT I want to make this machine the new domain and server as DNS as well. Thanks,

I have 1 domain and 2 DC's in the domain both have DNS running. I am running windows 2003 servers with windows xp clients. I had 1 DC go down last week and I had some users that could not logon and had others that had no problem logging in. Both DC's are replicating and no errors ...

I keep getting this error about a computer account that is not located in ADUC. I am not sure where the remnants are coming from. Can I use ADSIedit, to find this account or if it has been renamed to something else. TIA,

hi! I'm trying to get my dns resolve the fqdn between 2 of my win2003 domain which is of different forest. I've enabled the dns Zone Transfer and Forwarder on both side to point to each other DNS, but somehow only one of the domain can resolve the other domain but not both way. ...
