What's the correct way to configure a second network card TCP/IP settings on a DC (Win2003)? (Such as the DNS entries, append to DNS...) For same and different subnets.

So I went to create a second dns server. After adding the program to the server, right away there is a forward zone, (containing) domain.local, AD, integrated primary, running. However when clicking on the server name, it says DNS is not configured.

In my environment a domain contains four DCs. In PDC DNS in running. When ever I do nslookup with my domain name it used to show all IP of my four servers. In DNS the record is like this – (same as parent) name and IP.

One of our customers wants to use their internal W2003 DNS server to resolve for 2 domains but it doesn't seem to work. Their main A.D. domain is, say, "domain.local" - pinging anything within this domain resolves OK.

Hi - just inherited a site with some unusual international A records located in the root level dns and under the gc in _msdcs Identifying the IP's in question by looking them up doesn't look encouraging - your thoughts?
