NSLOOKUP Resolving to one IP with adding (.co.in)09 Sep 2006 19:25 GMT1
I believe I am having problem with DNS NSLookup.
When I type xyz.com (any domain in the world ex. yahoo.com) at NSLOOKUP it
is resolving to as follows:
> yahoo.com

I'm moving my websites to a new server and I'd like to upload all the files
of each website whilst the name servers are being changed, so that the
website will work as soon as the change takes affect.
How can I ftp the files without using ftp.domainname.com because if I do

Here's my scenario:
Two servers, one AD Domain Controller also running as the DNS server.
Second server is running Virtual Server, which is hosting two Windows

I have W2K3 server running DNS.  When clients try to access two websites via
IE6, they receive "page cannot be displayed."  I tested from outside the

We have two Windows 2000 DC's in our organisation running DNS, and two
other Win2k servers, which are NOT DC's (and are NOT running DNS).
There are about 60 pcs in our company. most of which are assigned their
IP's using DHCP. There are however a couple of pcs that have static

We have 3 DNS servers, 3 WINS servers in a Win2003 Active Directory single
domain.
The problem we are having is that an old computer is still resolving via
nslookup from our DNS servers however the record is no longer in DNS or WINS.

Hoping someone can help with this. We recently acquired another company and
they have a parent domain and a child domain. In the child domain DNS
resolves requests within itself and for external however not for the parent.
