How can I test my AD DNS to make sure it is working properly? I am having an issue when I PING a new device I added to the domain. The name gets resolved to and IP address, but there is no reply. The device I just added can see everything just fine however.

My DNS (win2003) is working fine and the forward lookup zone for my domain seems up to date and quite 'tidy' but my reverse zone has records of computers from years and years ago, is there any way to get the system to tidy it up?
