  If I was to solely use BIND9 for my Active Directory 2003
deployment, will I loose any functionality?

In DNS, when I look at our subnet, then the reverse look folder. It will list
multiple accounts for one IP address. Kind of looks like it's not letting go
of that entry.  The forward pointers are all correct.

I am not massivly familair with the intricacys of DNS here is the problem.
Whichever Idiot originally set up our domain called it "ourcompanyname.co.uk"
