We're experiencing the below error which in turn cripples our overseas mail

start troubleshooting?

two problems of two trusted ad domains13 Jul 2005 22:13 GMT4
Sort of unusual DNS problem:
Two forests domains are, AD1.here. and AD2.here.
AD1.here. trusts AD2.here.
host1.AD2.here tries to resolve host-1.AD1.here. and gets the correct
DNS IP settings13 Jul 2005 20:31 GMT2
I have a small network with two 2003 servers - one is the PCD running AD and
DNS - in the "network settings-local area connections-TCP-IP-DNS" for this
server I have the DNS setting pointing to itself - the IP of the server.  My
question relates to my second server, which is also ...
when DC crash, what should we do?12 Jul 2005 19:34 GMT2
I have two DC which one  is active directory and the other is
additional DC. Users use fix ip. When DC crash, we transfer FSMO role
from DC to additional DC, do we need to change users' dns server ip to
dc additional ip (as we've already transfer fsmo roles to it).
Register dns windows 2003 windows xp12 Jul 2005 19:17 GMT2
I am running windows 2003 standard with my DNS being AD integrated.  My
domain name is a single name and thus my computers are computername.domain.
My computers were registered with my DNS, but I don't know if this was being
done via my DHCP or auto registering from Windows XP.  I ...
I know this is easy...12 Jul 2005 15:32 GMT3
Okay, I know this is a simple mistake.  I have a new AD domain that I'm
testing with and we don't have BIND up and running in front yet so I just
figured I'd see how AD DNS played with the outside world.  I have four
servers (2 DC's)...  The AD domain is ad.domain.com while the ...

failover web site12 Jul 2005 07:22 GMT9
Hi we have an application where it is important that if the main web site
goes down users are redirected to our backup server.  I don't want any load
balancing, just a fail backup (similar to an MX priority).  Is this possible
with Win2K3 DNS?  I would be grateful for any help.
DNS Error 670212 Jul 2005 04:34 GMT2
Hey Everyone,
I was wondering how to get rid of the below error that occurs every half

AD Integrated DNS and Zone Transfers12 Jul 2005 02:12 GMT3
I am using AD intergrated DNS to domain controllers only and secure only. I
do not plan to have any secondry DNS servers running or put dns on a member

saying that Zone Transfers are not require for AD ...

DNS Round Robin and 11005 Connection Timeouts11 Jul 2005 18:41 GMT2
I hope giving everyone as much information doesn't turn you off and I don't
get any help.  But I've seen too many times people asking for help and not
giving enough info.  So here's my attempt at being proactive.
We are getting many 11005 Connection Timeouts and DNS Lookup ...
Reverse PTR problems11 Jul 2005 17:02 GMT3
We've got a strange problem where we can create a reverse PTR record in ADI
DNS for the server (and increment the zone serial number), but after a couple
of replications, it dissappears again. No other records seems be
dissappearing, just the one for the server. We have a multi ...

Hi, we are in the process of migrating our Windows 2000 network to a new IP
addressing scheme. We have bound the Domain controller with the DNS server
with two IP addresses, one for the old addressing scheme and one for the new
scheme.
