I have a native windows 2000 domain test environment setup.  I have 2 dc's.
dc1 is currently the only DNS server running.  
DHCP is coming from a simple SOHO router connected directly to my ISP. (as I
mentioned this is only a test enviro).

I'm setting up a new Windows 2003 PDC box to  a new site and i note a
strange behavior this Windows has 2 Nics 1 for internal lan (192.168.6.254)
and other for public access (10.10.0.1).
The problem is that when i start nslookup my default server is on the 2 nic
4 to 10 minute login times for XP PRO machines only29 Jun 2005 22:49 GMT11
I have a horrible problem.  It takes up to 13 minutes to login from my XP
machines (reinstalled the OS also) as a user. As an admin it normally takes
20-30 seconds. My 98SE machines take 10-15 seconds logged in as anybody.
After logging in on the XP machines it also takes a lot ...

I'm migrating my domain from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2003 Server Active
Directory. After the migration I have been experiensing some troubles with
the DNS servers that are still in NT 4.0 , they fall down all the time and I
have to start them again.

I have two dns servers (one windows 2003 and one windows 2000) the windows
2003 is AD integrated and the other is not (secondary). I have added two host
records along with their PTR and all looks good in bother servers. (Two

I cannot access a certain site.  I can ping the site and get a reply.  I
cannot access it via the domain name nor the IP address.  What could be the
problem?
I also have strange activity when I traceroute myself.  the last 8 bounces

I am (ab)using my Win2K DNS service to run a DNS Blacklist.  I modify the
hostfile through a scripted process.  This has been running without incident
for over a year.

Hello, my company has 1 DC-DNS server, 1 DC server (aux) and 1 Exchange 2003

Yesterday, my DC-DNS server has not respond, and dont boot. I transfer the
