Hi,
While DFS-R was performing an Online defragmentation of the DFS-R DB, a
restore job started using Backupexec 12. The DFS-R service was stopped,
restore completed, DFS-R Service started.

Is there an information about dfs fail over? If one server is down
hosting a dfs folder, how can I force all client connections to choose

I found a statement in  MS DFS design document: "If the staging folder size
is below 100 percent of the configured quota, DFS Replication will typically
replicate nine files at a time."

We have two servers with 03 R2 and each are running DFSR replication, and
there seems to be a folder with around 12 files in it, that mysteriously
password protected themselves without any user intervention.  I was thinking
a macro virus or something, but cannot find anything.  ...

We currently redirect the desktop and My Documents to a folder on the server.
Has anyone tried using DFS replication on this directory?  Can you use the
DFS root for folder redirection instead of \\<servername>?  Please let me

Deleted a DFS namespace and trying to add a new one. Error is:
The namespace server \\servername\namespacename\ cannot be added. The server
already hosts a namespace. You can host multiple namesapces only on Windows
Server 2003, Enterprise Edition or Windows Server 2003, ...
