We are setting up an OU for another site(primarily for delegation of authority) That site will have a 2 DCs. would it be acceptable to keep those DC's under its OU? or do they have to go to dmain controllers container.

I've read places that there's a utility you run to defragment ad or something like that and when you do it you should restart your domain in directory restore mode or something like that. If I have 3 dcs, do I shut the other ones down while i restart the other one

Is it common practice to simply delete old computer accounts if they will no longer be used. I was told by a certified Microsoft instructor not to delete old computer accounts but instead disable them and I would rather delete them then have a collection of old records.

Our AD Forest and Domain is called Company-Name.com. There is like a netbios short name for it which is CompName if you get me. So when a user logs on they could type CompName\Username or the FQDN Company-Name.com\Username

At work the domain is organised into OU by location, within these there are containers for users, computers etc. I want to replicate this organisation on my lab setup at home but there is no way to create a folder/container under an OU.
