My BDC was crashed and I re-formatted the whole BDC workstation for other purposes; however, I don't feel comfortable cuz the PDC replicate active directory to the old BDC anyway, is there anyway I can remove the BDC record from PDC? Or what's the normal procedure I should do ...

I tried to join an additonal DC to AD, but it gets an error when trying to replicate. I then tried to remove the DC from AD and I get the following eror when I test DNS using netdiag. DNS test . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Failed

I my inharited Network, I recently learned that my predisesor renamed one the AD servers. This had not been causing any noticable problems intell now, I noticed that there is no replacation going on between this server and the others.
