Defragger that handles Volume Shadow Copy 01 Jul 2005 23:23 GMT2
Can anyone tell me if ANY of the Enterprise Defragementing Tools can handle
Volume Shadow Enabled Volumes?
Before someone incorrectly says anything - VS and defragmenting tools ae not
meant to work together due to VS file / table layout and corruptions.

After an upgrade from NT4 domain to mixed mode AD, I find that there are very
few computer accounts showing up in the computers container.  All clients are
either 2K Pro or XP.  DNS shows plenty of computers registering there.  Am I
missing something?

machines in ADUC? i want to delete any machine that in ADUC that is an old
account

We have an existing W2K Server ("SVR1") running as the DC.  Just implemented
a W2K3 Server ("SVR2") that I want to also make a DC for obvious redundancy.  
Logon scripts are in SYSVOL\[domainname]\scripts and contain lines like:
net use g: \\SVR1\public_share

We just recently upgraded our NT domain to 2K3 AD. We have one corp site with
around 40 branches. The in place upgrade went great, however when deploying
DC's to other sites I am having an issue with Headquarters clients
authentication to a Branch.

We have a problem with users on laptops who stay offline for lengthy
periods. Due to password policy (in local AD ?) they may be forced to
change their password when offline. Unfortunately that new password

We have a small domain 30 users there are 2 servers running 2003 standard one
has WINS for 98 machines and DNS. When you browse the network from the
servers all the computers appear, however when you try to repeat this on an
XP machine you get the error message unable to find the ...
