I look for and cannot find any possibility to populate the environment
variables with GPO - ist it possible? How?

Hello all. I was wondering what is the best way to find old computer accounts
and move them or delete them in AD. I'm new to this company and they have 500
PCs but the AD shows 800+. Plus this makes managing SMS somewhat of a mess.

on alot of my xp sp2 machines i am seing many errors that are The Security

If a known user has logged on Win2K domain from some where, how to find out
from where she logged on or simply log her account out of domain completely.

I have set up desktop backgrounds and screen savers in AD group policy,
however in a GP that has 10 users & computers 7 are showing the correct
background 3 and not showing a background.  I have checked the desktop
properties and it shows the correct logo for t he background so ...

When the firewall is active on our XP SP2 clients we cannot perform remote
control activities. Would it be through Group Policy that we could set a rule
to open specific ports for access around the firewalls?

Is their any way to stop Software from being removed??  I created an MSI
 and and assigned it to my machines.  Then after finding it wasnt

We have windows2000 workgroup users & Active directory server on windows 2003.
We are trying to keep the users on domain & copying all their local desktop &
all their emails to domain desktop & outlook express. It is a big task to do
it.

I'm using a script to change the DisplayName for a group of users. The
script is working and after it finished to run, i check the user's
displayname and everything is fine.
But some hours later, when i check again, all the DisplaysNames are empty,

I have 8 2003 Standard servers and 4 2000 Servers.
Auto of the 8 2003 Servers, I have decomissioned one 1, 3 run the AD and are
assigned the following roles:
S1 - Exchange server - Infrastructure Master and PDC Emulator
