About 2 years ago we merged 2 domains into one. We migrated users and groups
from domain A into Domain B using ADMT. We migrated SID History during the
merge. Once the domains were merged we removed the trust and decommissioned
Domain B.

I have successfully installed W2k3 sp1 on several dc's.  However, on one dc
the installation process always hangs when trying to backup the registry.  I
have tried installing locally, from a network file server, from
update.microsoft.com, and I've tried warm and cold boots.  ...

Has anyone got a good program that monitors the AD for changes in user
accounts?  Specifically if a Domain Admin account has been created or
deleted.  Of course if it does more the better but I was curious if anybody
here has something they have used for a similar situation.

We are in the middle of a Migration from NT4 to Win2k3.  Over the weekend a
disk corruption killed our Temp W2003 PDC between the two domains. The
layout is
NT4 Domain

I have 2 DC's on the same subnet and Replication is failing between them.  
One of the DC's gives this error message:
Error value:
8456 The source server is currently rejecting replication requests.

I have a win2000 domain controller running exchange. Also I have another DC
that working fine, its even in the same active directory container as my
exchange box. My exchange box has the problem. When I go into ntbackup and
click systemstate, the folder for Active Directory is ...

Does anyone know where I can get this tool?

I have a single domain, two DCs: one 2003 and one 2000. Since a few days
I've noticed slow replicas. I've ran some diags but not sure how to figure
out solution. These are the results taken from the 2000 server:

How many objects can you have in Active Directory in Windows Server 2003?  Is

All - sorry if this is in the wrong area but briefly, we own a swag of public
IP addresses and currently all our services (inc workstations) use public
addressing which is the reason for the need to change. We host everything
DNS/Exchange etc and I feel it is time to move all of ...

Why when I create a new user template does it have a red x beside the name?  
They created succesfully and show up when setting up new users, but under the
manage templates page it shows an error.

Our domain was an upgrade from nt4 to windows svr 2003 ad. By default, the
NT security groups get put into a "users" FOLDER.
