I'm running a Windows Server 2003 Enterpise CA with an offline root. I duplicated the AutoEnrolled User cert template to create certificates for our Active Directory users. This seems to be working fine but when I look at Issued Certificates in my CA I see that users

AVG Free version 7.5.484 [virus database 269.12.0/961] tells me that WinPcap_beta_3_1.exe and wpcap.dll contain "Trojan Horse BackDoor.Generic8.DHX". Are these false positives? AVG 7.5.476 [269.11.19/953] does not report a trojan in the same files.

I've had a few times when the yellow shield icon will appear for just a moment upon startup. I have a feeling it means nothing. When it's time for auto updates, that shield icon works normally for me.

I just received update 933360 through Autoupdates. The yellow shield near the clock as usual and I wasn't sure why I was getting updated. Nothing happened for 10-15 minutes and then it said it would install the patch during shutdown, which it did. I understand this is because

As an intermediate user I have a question on accessing my computer. Is there a log I can check somewhere on my pc which will show when it was switched on, accessed etc? I know my internet history was cleared by someone else but I can't confirm when it was used. Any ideas?

I am security auditor for a Windows 2003/2000 mixed-mode domain. Client workstations are XP SP2, and all domain controllers are 2003 server. The default domain group policy defines the account lockout policy at a threshold of 6 failed logons.
