What is the easiest/best/cheapest solution to limit users to being able to
run a specific application(s) on a Terminal Server?  I want them to run
application, but I don't want them to be able to launch desktop mode.

I am working with a Wyse TC 3150SE running CE 5.0 with RDP 5.5.  I am
attempting to do smart card authentications to various web sites.  I have an
ActivCard Reader 2.2 with ActivCard Gold for CAC 3.01 FP2 installed on a
Windows 2003 SP1 Terminal Server.   Is anyone out there ...

Does anyone have any recommendations for RAID setup for TS?  I'd assume
you'd probably want something on the lines of RAID 10, but I'm looking
for input.

I have a Windows 2003 Server with Terminal Services, and i have a problem:
When users connect to server, it automatically detects local printers.
When this occurs, it not detects the page setup configured in client PC. It

We have one of our W2K Server running Terminal Services, allowing users to
login and run one of our applications.
The users are experiencing their remote desktop sessions timing out, after
about 20mins of inactivity.

I would like to setup an application to run in Terminal Services.  I am able
to get it to run fine by using RDP files.. However, I would like to
accomplish the following
- Restrict users to not be able to "disconnect" the application by clicking

In Win2k server I can't get the same session if I reconnect the same
user...in the win2003Server  group policy is possible to choose, but in 2k
no.
There's a fix or something similar to resolve this problem?

I know it has been posted before, but I cannot find any old posts telling
how to do this.  I want to print locally from a TS seesion from a remote
site using the xp rdp client.  The printer is hp psc 1350 ink jet.  Is it

I have a network where my POS system is SQL based. I have two servers to
handle this.  Both are Windows 2K3 SP1.
The system is running very slow w/ 20 users and when I get 30 users on then
some get knocked out of the application and sometimes even there RDC drops.

I have tried deleting the users profile folder in their personal directory -
this recreates when they log back on and usually clears problems like this
but that has not worked.
Anyone have any other ideas?
