We had reverse DNS setup and working but a few days ago
it looked as though the reverse DNS file was corrupted.
Could not find any events in event viewer that would
explain it. The file just has garbage in it.

Hello, it's a lot of time that i'm trying to configure and work a bind9
server correctly on a local network(instead of to use the /etc/hosts file)
The configuration, i'm quite sure is correct however it happens a strange
thing..

Where do I add my new sender id and what file do I use? Host, PTR?
Also when I add this to my domain do I need to supply the sender id to my
ISP as well? And by me adding this record to my server, will this have any
effect on mail?

I seem to be having problems that are related to the DNS
server, but I can find no reason for the problem in our
event log other than this:

All my DNS servers are replicating cept for my PDC.   below is the only
failure in my netdiag/dcdiag.   [I am using SimpleDNS on my workstation to
take the load the web requests (i am 192.168.0.243)]

We will be re-architecting our dmz soon and will need to change the local IP
address of our DNS server which serves our external DNS. I am assuming that I
could simply change the local IP address and then update the zones and zone
records accordingly...is this correct? Has anyone ...
