We had reverse DNS setup and working but a few days ago it looked as though the reverse DNS file was corrupted. Could not find any events in event viewer that would explain it. The file just has garbage in it.

Hello, it's a lot of time that i'm trying to configure and work a bind9 server correctly on a local network(instead of to use the /etc/hosts file) The configuration, i'm quite sure is correct however it happens a strange thing..

Where do I add my new sender id and what file do I use? Host, PTR? Also when I add this to my domain do I need to supply the sender id to my ISP as well? And by me adding this record to my server, will this have any effect on mail?

We will be re-architecting our dmz soon and will need to change the local IP address of our DNS server which serves our external DNS. I am assuming that I could simply change the local IP address and then update the zones and zone records accordingly...is this correct? Has anyone ...
