Can I add DNS entry to my Secondary DNS server01 Apr 2004 00:40 GMT1
I have created a Secondary DNS server to get records from the Primary.  This
is simple enough.  So my question is can I add a DNS entry to my Secondary
DNS server?

At work I have two Windows NT 4.0 Server with two
different domain names. My desktop is networked to one
Windows NT 4.0 Service with a domain name.  How can I
network my desktop to the other windows NT 4.0 server

Been fighting this for a long time.
Here is what I have found so far.
if a domain name NS server is in the CACHE then it will find the host.
if a Domain name is in a DNS server that is not in the  Cache  then until

Trying to setup CNAME for all of our servers due to the
names being "generated" to actual names people could
remember.  But when doing a ping against the CNAME, comes

Hi, network gurus,
I have a laptop running Windows 2000 professional and when
I work in office, I connect to a domain running Windows NT
4 in our company LAN. While I was working offsite, I used

I have a Windows XP Pro notebook PC that was working fine, then all of a
sudden it couldn't log in to our domain.  I tried unjoining it from the
domain and then re-joining it, but that now fails with the following error:

Every so often I have computers that run Win2k Pro and it
will all of a sudden stop finding the DNS server which is
on the NT 4.0 platform. If I do an ipconfig /flushdns or
release and renew my ip address it will start working

Hello,
I am able ping ping between a NT workstation and XP Pro
laptop. The WinNT workstation can access shared drives
and folders normally - no errors.
