I can only access my web site by typing in the IP address in the browser.
Out side my network I can access my web site by the name. Why can't I access
by name within my network?

I'm running DNS on WIN NT4 and I've noticed I'm unable to
connect to some websites. I KNOW I was able to connect to
nai.com (McAfee) and suddenly it times out. I also have an

I am a hosting provider. I've got DNS installed on a windows 2000 server.
Each domain extension has its own Primary Zone eq:
NL - Zone

I'm in the process of taking an NT4 primary DNS and
removing it.  I want to take the secondary DNS win2k box
and make it primary and later create a secondary win2k.  
Here's my initial plan:

I have windows NT4 domain.and only use tcp/ip.my clients
were logon successfully to my  domain.but fron last friday
anyone of windows 98 clients cant logon to the domain.
I checked all the network setting are corect.

promote a Secondary DNS server should the Primary fail.

Trying to find a forum/help that will tell me the best way
on converting servers.  I currently have in place a NT 4.0
server running DHCP and DNS.  I have purchased a new
server and have 2000 loaded on it to replace the NT 4.0
