We are streaming files using Windows 2000 server with media services.
We can play the following link on a Windows 2000 desktop computer or Win XP
computer running Windows Media Player 10:

My Axis camera can provide a RTSP video stream to a limited number of
client; in order to reach a bigger number of client I would try to use a
streaming server...can Windows media server use my Axis camera as
RTSP/MPEG4 video source?

Mpeg2 is not on the list of supported file types of Windows Media Services,
but Help says: "You can stream other digital media file formats from a
Windows Media server if an appropriate media parser plug-in is enabled. A

We currently run Windows 2008 64 bit Enterprise with Media Services on a
Corporate LAN. This has various .wmv's on it. To date, the clients are 100%
Windows XP, and 99% on the LAN (occasionally a roaming user on the WAN) and
we have always published the video's as "mms://", ...

We had been hosting a live publishing point for several years. This is a
24/7 always On publishing point on WMS 2003. We hosted the bandwidth for
this server at our own data center. For discussion purposes, let's say the

Wonder if someone can help me. We have WMS on 2k3 enterprise pulling a 48k
stream, however sometimes it will get disconnected (for whatever reason) and
then it dumps all my clients. Quite often the stream has re-established
within a few seconds but I've lost all my clients.
