Any way for reliable PUSH for WMS?31 Oct 2007 21:25 GMT2
Has anyone found a reliable way to "PUSH" content from a WM Encoder to
a WM Server?  I have a reliable network and have all of the MS patches
installed on the encoder.  Are there any alternatives?

Hello all I'm in a bit of bother.
As usual work has thrown something at me to be done yesterday :D.
We have one web server with the Windows Media Services Installed and I
have successfully managed to get one video file seekable/double speed

There are a lot of tools that allow users to download streaming files from
my WMS server using rtsp:// links, most of them support multiple threads.
Using them, a 3 hours file can be downloaded from WMS in just 10 minutes.
Is there any way to stop it?

I have a big doubt about how to stream.
The problem is the following one:
   I have 2 servers connected by a Local area network, where, the server 1
(web server) has internet access; while server 2 (streaming server) has no

server. I have several managed switches that I want to create VLANS to reduce
broadcasting traffic.  I want around 3 different subnets. Is this possible

We are trying to setup a WMS to stream out live content to people over
the Net. We have unicast working, but it our bandwidth only allows
maybe 20 connections before it starts getting really choppy.
Multicasting doesnt work over the Internet, yet, so what is the best

This i the problem.  I have a publishing point (live broadcast) setup with a
wrapper advertisement.  The advertisement plays a .WMA file before the user
can listen to the station broadcast.
Now this is the problem.  With WMP11 I can hear the ad, then as soon as the
