Hi all, hopefully someone could help me out on this one.  Is it possible, and
if so how do i go about adding an advert to a 'live' stream.  The advert
needs to repeat itself every 10 minutes then automatically resume the live
feed.

I have Media Services 9 running Windows 2003.  I have http, mms and
rtsp control protocols all enabled.  It works great when using Windows
Media Player, but I want to be able to support Quicktime and Real
Player if possible using RTSP.  I have the default port of 554 enabled

For watching media stream, I use media element and following code:

We have loads of movies and have been streaming successfully for a while.
Rather than having people pay per movie, we'd like them to be able to buy
time and the view any movie at any time and automatically decrement their
paid for time counter.

i have been able to create and run multiple live publishing points but now i
am trying to add and advertisement to the beginning of the publishing point.
for some reason the ad plays, but the live content does not.

I've created a publishing point and embedded the stream into a web page.  
What I would like to do is have default content, a few 30 second ads, display
when the encoder is not pushing and switch to the encoder when we go "live"
with a broadcast.  Is there a way to do this?

I couldn't find a newsgroup better suited for my questions, so I'm taking a
shot and posting them here!
I'm in the process of researching a hosting service to stream some of our
videos to clients.  I just need some clarification on streaming technology
