I have ftp'd several .wmv's to the media server on-demand directory.  When I
go to test the file inside of the media server, some play but most don't.  I
can go the directory and play each of the .wmv's using the media player but
the same file will not test inside the media ...

We use windows media services for few months for live stream broadcasting
and noticed few serious problems.
1. We have 2 publishing points which playing the same content but with
different bitrate for low and high bandwidth users. And although they are

Hi can anyone help me about this ? I need to hide the location that showing
the source of the media (  mms://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/racecar_100.wmv )whether in
the properties of the file or even the source code on HTML .

everytime a client connects to a stream i have to restart it otherwise it
want start again.

Hi - I was looking on the MS site under MediaPlayer and I can't seem to find
the answer to my question. If I run Media Server can I broadcast my radio
station using DSR 2006 and will it be part of the radio channels listed in
media player when you click radio and genre?

I have an existing publishing point that I want to allow someone to push to.
I don't want them to setup additional publishing points.  What kind of user
rights do I need to assign to the user@the encoder on the stand-alone wms?

If I have the player limit and the bandwidth limits set, which one does it
apply first?  In other words - if the bandwidth is used but there are more
clients available what happens?

We are doing audio only, but if we use an ad wrapper to play a video and/or
JPG's before the broadcast, some client report that the audio is in like a
slow play mode.
Any ideas? I have seen this reported elsewhere so it's not just us.

I tried a few example to simply list all the publishing points on the server
by name but I get an 'Element not found' error when I try to output the
publishing point name to the screen.
