Again, this may seem overly simple but please hear me out. Why should I use ASX files to publish announcements to my media? Isn't it just as simple as using mms://myserver/publishingpointname/filename.wmv?

I have not found any discussion in this forum or in the Server docs about updating on demand content (specifically .wmv files with video and audio, asf format). That is suppose I have an on demand file "cheese.wmv" which I then want to overwrite with an updated file "cheese.wmv".
