Is there asetting that would allow a limited time for each client

I currently have a Windows 2003 Server - 1.5 GB RAM, Xeon 3.06 GHz

I have a server with 2 IPs
One for Windows Media Server and the other IP for IIS.
But the IIS has the port 80 point to one IP.
And With the WMedia Server I can´t point the other IP to

i have come up with a custom authentication plugin using basic
authentication. i was wondering if there are any ways to secure the
transmission of the user:password string while it is being transmitted.
i'd like to stick with basic authentication for now.
