I am in Canada and wish to purchase Win 2000 professional OS. Can this be
done? I use Win 98SE on this pc and XP Home ed. on another pc. I am studying
A+ cert. and would like that OS. Thanks for any advice

  I have been trying to install the upgarde version of Windows 2000 on my
computer.  Im installing to a SATA drive, but I can get that working now.  
The problem lies where the installation is configuring windows 2000.  The
setup hangs where it says something like 'reading dmreg ...

It seems that unless the users are logged in as Administrator (either XP
or W2k), Update will not function properly.
I've even given users Administrative privileges, but it still does not work.

Ok, I am starting a collection of Windows & DOS OS, "Full Versions"
(not upgrades) in original (shrink wrapped) retail boxes.
If any of you have these, I would be willing to buy them.
