I wish to upgrade my existing system (windows 98SE) to windows 2000 Professional.But i also have installed Office XP and Autocad 2000 on my system. So when I install windows 2000 will I have to reinstall other applications too?

I wish to Upgrade my Windows 98 machine to Windows 2000 Professional.I already have applications like MSOffice XP and Autocad 2000 installed on my machine. If I upgrade , will I have to Re-Install all the applications or will they work ok.

I upgraded to windows 2000 from windows ME. i am having TONS of problems, including resolution problems. also, my CDROM drive wont recognize any CDs. this is just the tip of the iceberg. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a client that is upgrading from Windows 2000 servers to Windows 2003. He is licensed based on a per seat. Since he is going from 2000 to 2003, does he have to upgrade the CAL's as well as the serer? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can I reinstall Windows 2003 server over the existing installation without loosing the AD info and network shares? I had virus trouble and am afraid that reloading it may be the only option. Thanks for the help.

I have 2 Windows 2000 domains: domain1 and domain2. If I want to migrate a DC in domain1 to become a DC in domain2, can I use ADMT to do this job, or I have to dcpromo it to a member server, join it to domain2 and then dcpromo it to DC? Thanks.
