Regardless of the SP4 or other installation to Win2K running SP3, the PC always boots to "Last Known Configuration". It is "impossible" to install any core system software updates. How can I "turn off" this boot feature? Event Type: Error

I recently lost my WINNT directory to a virus (I believe). I have reinstalled this, but now need to make the system think Office 2000 Professional is installed (it is). Is there any way i can do this without the install CD?
