Windows update wants to install new software, downloads, fails to install.
I just tried for 4th time. New error message.

My W2K Add/Remove program list has included this update for some time but
Windows Update keeps nagging I have to update.  When I try,  the update

Hi all,
I have a Win2k system. I reinstalled it on a old machine after a hd crash
and I updated it at Service Pack 4, without installing the previous SPs.

There used to be a way to download updates manually.  This seems to be
now impossible.  Or is there a workaround?  What about torrent sites?  
Can people post the files there?  Will they work if they do?  I really
don't want to connect an unupdated, vulnerable computer to the ...
