Disable automatic update Windows 2000 server28 Feb 2007 22:50 GMT1
I would like to disable automatic updates on Windows server 2000 (with
SP1). So far I havnt found any places within My Computer or Control
Panel.
Any suggestions/ideas welcome.

I did some quick searching, but could not find an existing post to my
question.
I have a network with a mix of Win2K and WinXP machines.
I know of the update for the DST fix for XP:
AutoUpdate OK, manual update not15 Feb 2007 02:12 GMT1
 i've got this problem : when installing an update with the update page
under IE6, the service reads the available updates, downloads all of
them... and fails installing any of them ! (no special error message, it
just writes it can not install them)
Windows Update in 2000 SP4 shows Error number: 0x80072EFD14 Feb 2007 22:21 GMT3
When I run Windows Update in my old 2000 SP4 installation (had it since
2002 in the same old Pentium 3 system), it shows Error number:
0x80072EFD when checking for updates in IE 6.0 SP2. I checked Windows
Update.log and found this:
Needed: Hotfix for KB82507312 Feb 2007 14:07 GMT1
Does anyone happen to have the hotfix for KB825073 available?  I need
it and I don't really want to wait until Monday to call Microsoft for
it.

When attempting to update our Microsoft 2000 Server to SP4, we get multiple
error messages that a "Delayed Write Failed".
I've tried the typical reboot and fished around the Knowledgebase but
haven't come across anything that matches our issue.
