I have a Windows2000 server with sp4, I usually run windows update without
problems, but today, when i try to update the server with the custom option
Its detect 25 criticals updates. I select some and when I press Install, I
saw in each download (faild). The server use a proxy ...

I ran Windows update earlier tonight.
No problems installing 20 required and 3 optional updates.
When I then tried Office Update, I kept getting a message that cookies are
not enabled.

There's no IE7 and Mediaplayer10.
Isn't that illegal?

I configured Windows Update as Microsoft Update, to update all

I think this is the 4th time this machine has done this.  On the reboot
after installing an update, the bootup fails with
"Unable to find NTLDR file".   Rebooting generally doesn't help, but this
time, anyway, unplugged machine for a while

how many startup discs are needed to boot windows 2000 from floppy disc?

with SP2 update installed or MUST I Still download windows update
KB893357 to obtain WPA2 functionality ???

I have never had this problem before but update just keeps scanning my
computer and scanning and scanning and does nothing else.  Any suggestions?

For some reason the auto update & notify didnt.
Did manual Win Update, a number of updates for this Tuesday? shown
Installs all failed, after fiddling with services managed to install most.
Whilst this was going on the autoupdate icon appeared in the task bar

I recetnly ran the auto update from October 11, 2006. When the update was
completed I had lost all users on this machine with the exception of the
Administrator. Email accounts need to be reconfigured and I can't find my

Upon visiting Windows Update or Microsoft Update I receive an error msg that
states:
Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered or installed
on your computer. To continue:

A new installation of win2000 and when I uupdate ny pc, it give me this error
code
0x80070424
which one of the corrective measure should I take?Thanks
