I have a problem that is described in the KB840890. I never tried to request

$NTUNinatall, $MSI..Unininstall, *.log, etc. files19 Aug 2006 02:32 GMT4
Is there a way to remove the $NTUninstall, etc. stuff without losing the
ability to recover  files?
Seems that most/many of the uninstall/log files created by windows/office
update are not needed, but I've not seen a clean way to remove them.

this?

Should I Install Update Rollup 1 for Win2000 SP4?02 Aug 2006 22:18 GMT1
Our main accounting server is running Windows 2000 server SP4 and SQL 2000.
I recently installed a bunch of updates that Automatic Updates had
downloaded.  However, 8 updates were unable to install.
One of these was KB891816, Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4.
