Are there any Win2k (sp4+) updates known to mess up acess to Network
settings? (see list below)
When I navigate to

I'm attempting to install service pack 4 for windows 2000
on my PC and receive the following error:
The file C:\winnt\system32\tftp.exe is open or in use by

The download started and got about half way, then errored
out! Doesn't this partial file exist somewhere on the
machine? I must be looking in the wrong place or for the

I installed win2000 on a friends computer and at some
point he got some updates.  Now the updater pops up
evertime he turns on the computer.  He doesnt like it.  Is
there a way I can turn it off and just update as I see fit.

I have checked for available updates for Windows 2000
Professional, then attempted to install Internet Explorer
Service Pack, but got the following Windows Update Error

after they have been installed?

Seems like Ie and Oe are having some scrolling issues,
Other's employee's at my work location are seeing the same
thing. After I ran the newest win2k updates, I go to
scroll down in Ie or OE and it freezes then jumps back up

am having problems reinstalling this update.

I just installed a service pack for windows 2000.  Now my
computer goes into an infinite reboot cycle when I try to
start it up.  It give me an error message to the effect
of "cannot find csrsrv.dll".

I have a clean installation of Windows 2000 Professional

I am trying to download SP4 but everytime I do it comes up
with these two messages:
The SP4 EXPRESS_EN(1). EXE file is linked to missing
export NTDLL.DLL:strstr

as told earlier in this news group - with some pain I had downgraded to sp3.
As expected it works fine with sp3 only at 1st glance.
Network connections to other computers may slow down 50x  and only PC reset
can help against it.
