I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and would like to upgrade
my RDP to RDP 5.2 to allow me to use local network printers.
I am having trouble finding the Microsoft download for this upgrade.  Can

I have a user with a USB printer connected directly to their laptop.
They connect to a terminal server, and the printer doesn't show up. The
guy at the other end thinks it's because the drivers weren't installed
on the server. Sure enough, the printer now DOES show up... but ...

Since I have been trying to solve this uncompatible printer re-direction
problem, something very odd has been happening.  All of a sudden, all
printers will disappear from all RDP sessions.  I have to re-boot the server
in order to get them to show up again.

I'm running as a client with Terminal Server.  I'm running XP professional
and using the remote desktop application to a Windows 2003 server with full
version of Terminal Server.
I can map printing back to one of my printers but not the other.  I works to

OK, I set up the ntprintsubs.inf thing, and the printer is showing up in the
remote session.  BUT, I'm having trouble selecting a substitute driver- it's
an HP OfficeJet 4200 series (4215) and I've tried several different win2k

Client connects to two apps running on the same server.  She is able to print
locally through one app, but the 2nd app freezes after she submit the print
job.  The 2nd app an old application.

I am trying to set the Sessions Max Idle time to 4 days.  The default
settings only go up to 2 days.  I have located the related reg key
HKLM\System\CCS\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp
MaxIdleTime, but I am having troulbe decifering th pattern

I have some users that are having their terminal server screens go
black after about 2 minutes of inactivity.  They then have to close and
reconnect.  Is there anything that I can do to extend the time before
the black screen hits??
