I’m on a computer with Windows XP SP2; I’m trying to connect to a terminal
server using the RDP client in XP. The terminal server is windows 2000. Every
time I try to connect, I get this message “the remote computer disconnected

Just to give our friendly crackers another minor challenge, we've
changed the default port for RDP sessions on all our servers. (VPN
tunnelling next on the list but changing the port was a quick and dirty
option I could do right away).

domain like remote.mydomain.com when type in Remote Desktop Connection in
