I am trying to repair a windows system and I want to disable services
before windows starts.
How do you stop services from the recovery console before you restart
windows?

Where can I download an operational copy of "makeboot.exe" (or a set of Setup
Diskettes) for Windows 2000 Professional SP4?
I have an OEM version of W2K that is no longer supported by the computer
manufacturer; IBM will not help me.  The laptop came with the OS

Anyone know how to prevent these Pagemaker 7.0 errors? Thanks in advance.

On Windows 2000 Prof machine (this stops the program from starting):

What's the best strategy for doing a restore-able OS install?  I want to
'renew' it to newly installed configuration every 60 days or so.  And I
don't want to have to update the OS after the new install each time.

Recently I purchased Office 2003, and have been unable to install it from
the CD.  It keeps generating an error message after you input the product ID
key and click NEXT.  The error message is totally worthless (as are much of
Microsoft's error messages)...something about the source ...
