Hi everyone, recently we had an auditor evaluate our W2K machines and he is
telling us that our NetBIOS security is not secure enough.  He listed the
following details:
LSAAnonymousNameLookup - Set to 0
WSUS W2k and KB94164429 Jan 2008 05:10 GMT1
We have a WSUS 3 server running to distribute patches and updates to our
workstations. Its been working quite happily until it hit KB941644 which it
has been unable to push out.

I have just replaced a burnt out external USB disk drive with a new one
in the same enclosure. The device manager can see the drive and tells
me that it needs initialising and that it is working. How do I do this
as it is not being shown in 'MY COMPUTER'?

I have had to completely rebuild by XP Home system from scratch.  When I
recovered files from my backup I had two directories that were originally
private.  Now I cannot open them - Access Denied, and I cannot delete them.  
I 'thought' my user ID was the same as the original ...

Is there a way I can list out all the folders and who has access to
them.  Lets say there are folders JSmith for John and Amanda to share
and DAdams for Doug and Sarah to share.   Is there a way I can list

I read an article on a windows security web site that recommended that
you set the permission for all shares to allow Full Control to
Authenticated Users (the default is Full Control to Everyone, although
in recent versions of Windows I think they changed it to Read for

I have security updates but not all got updated.

situation? I can't afford microsofts help centers and they won't tell you
