I have a W2K domain with XP clients.  A user can log on but cannot
access the server that contains their data (it is also the DC).  When
trying to map to the server or to access the server through network
connections I receive the error message:

I would like to know whether there are any implications of making an

Windows server experts:
I know that Windows 2003 Server will log the IP of a user trying to logon with
a phony username or bad password. But, 2000 Server does not. Is there any way
to get 2000 to do this?

I'm investigating a hacking attempt on our Windows 2003 server.  We had 56
