When disconnecting a USB external hard disk using 'Safely Remove Hardware', I receive the error: "The drive generic volume cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it. Try stopping the device again later."

When I go to Explorer and click VIEW / ARRANGE ICONS and select "By Date", the newest file is at the END of the list of files. I also use Win98se, and the newest dated file is always at the BEGINNING of the list. This is really annoying having one OS reversed. The newest

It seems this isn't rocket science but I cannot find what to check to have explorer windows open at shutdown, reopen at boot. I'm using TweakUI and do not see any settings to checkmark, don't see anything under explorer/tools/folder options/view either!

I had an old desktop pc with Win2000Pro connected on my DSL router and fully updated Windows, etc and the internet connection worked fine. I gave the box to a friend who uses a cable modem, and the box will not connect to the internet there (no router).
