Cannot find a place to swap files28 Jul 2009 16:06 GMT3
In order to repair a W2K installation, I went into the BIOS to change the
boot order. When I boot up, the computer loads MS-DOS. It won't allow W2K
Setup.exe to run under Dos. I ran the Winnt.exe directly, and I get a
message like "Cannot find a place to swap files".
Intel motherboard doesn't support W2K28 Jul 2009 12:58 GMT6
I'm considering upgrading my mobo to an Intel DG41RQ. The User Guide
lists only Vista and XP as supported operating systems. I don't know if
this means the board will not work with W2K, or Intel just assumed that
not enough people still use W2K to include it in the supported OS ...

After updating my Windows 2000 Pro with update rollup 1 and the service pack,

How to eliminate popups while loading W2K27 Jul 2009 05:15 GMT1
A problem arose with my W2K setup. I started a repair, then guessed why I

able to restore more or less everything as it was but during the repair I
had been prompted for installation CDs for other ...

Resetting lost Admin password22 Jul 2009 19:53 GMT4
I am trying to help friends who inherited a Win2K PC with the
restaurant they are about to re-open. Boot-up cannot get beyond the
request for the Admin password. Someone must have tried a few times
too many. They don't know what the p/w is anyway.
