I was doing a chkdsk on all partiions (FAT and NTFS) and I noticed that no activity was happening on the drive. I did a HW reset, now the drive is not seen. Anyone knows if the drive can be recovered?

In order to repair a W2K installation, I went into the BIOS to change the boot order. When I boot up, the computer loads MS-DOS. It won't allow W2K Setup.exe to run under Dos. I ran the Winnt.exe directly, and I get a message like "Cannot find a place to swap files".

I'm considering upgrading my mobo to an Intel DG41RQ. The User Guide lists only Vista and XP as supported operating systems. I don't know if this means the board will not work with W2K, or Intel just assumed that not enough people still use W2K to include it in the supported OS ...

I am trying to help friends who inherited a Win2K PC with the restaurant they are about to re-open. Boot-up cannot get beyond the request for the Admin password. Someone must have tried a few times too many. They don't know what the p/w is anyway.

I just upgraded my computer's RAM from 512 MB (2 sticks of 256 MB) to 1.5 GB (3 sticks of 512 MB). The motherboard has 3 memory slots, and supports 1.5 GB of RAM. All 3 sticks are the same brand (Crucial) and speed.
