Is there any way to tell which forwarder is resolving a request?  If I do a

Thanks.

Mail forwarders stop working when they feel like it19 Oct 2007 11:58 GMT7
I work in a small private network in a very large organization.
The network team made some changes this weekend. Ever since, my DNS
forwarding fails to forward at random. I can fix it by stopping and starting
the DNS server service. It's two separate servers, they both do the same ...

I am an Administrator of a Windows 2000 Active Directory. I have been
requested to create a DNS record to allow users to enter a three-character

The entry I'm creating is called: EQX

sub1.name.com, added that domain to the append dns suffixes on the w/s
and can resolve hosts in sub1.name.com by just typing nslookup host1.

Weird situation, I have a single domain network with a windows 2003

the domain can resolve the server just fine (as well as all the other
systems in the domain). But, if I am building a system, or bring in a

DNS Issues05 Oct 2007 04:21 GMT1
I have a issue with our DNS servers.  Apparently old DNS addresses are
staying in the server of computers that haven't been in existent for years.
Why would this be?  Shouldn't old addresses automatically be purged out of
the system at some point.
